Partnerships

Our work is built on partnerships between Indigenous and Foreign missionaries

Indigenous Missionaries: are people who are native to the countries in which they work, ministering in a variety of ways to those in need, within their own communities. We recognize that indigenous workers can often be more effective in long-term thinking, because they understand their culture and country better and also because they usually have fewer barriers than foreign people. At The Word for Africa, foreign and indigenous missionaries co-exist in a mutually supportive relationship to produce maximum results.

Foreign Missionaries: This group encompasses those who have left the comfort of their own homes to minister to the spiritual and physical needs of those around the world.
We cherish the men and women who sacrifice every year to serve in foreign lands. Foreign missionaries’ partnership with indigenous workers is indispensable in developing the local work. We aretherefore delighted to welcome volunteers and ministers in all capacities to come and give of their talent and skills.
